2024 Scholarships

The Kiwanis Club of Scotts Valley have established 3 scholarships for High School Seniors that have been accepted to a University, College, or Trade School for the upcoming year.

  • The Mike Smith Kiwanis Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who lives in or goes to school in northern Santa Cruz County. It will be awarded by the Kiwanis Club based on its judgment of an application letter that describes the student’s past accomplishments and future goals. Detailed application requirements will be provided to schools in the area.

  • The Grabill scholarship may be awarded annually to a graduating Key Club member who demonstrates exemplary academic and civic values. It is based on an application that describes the members past accomplishments and future goals.

  • The Ginilu Robinson Music Scholarship. For decades, the Scotts Valley school system consisted of two elementary schools, Brook Knoll and Vine Hill, and Scotts Valley Middle School. Students were then dispersed between three out of area public high schools. When the mission to find a way for Scotts Valley to have its own high school began, Ginilu was an early and enthusiastic supporter of the cause. Although her older daughter, Sabrina, fit into the former category and attended San Lorenzo Valley High, her younger daughter, Gabrielle, attended and graduated from Scotts Valley High. This Scholarship is in honor of all her work and dedication to music in the Scotts Valley area.
